Internet  Streaming Set Up and (Support Page)

 

 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS For Web Streaming: Operating Systems: Microsoft ONLY -  98se, ME, Win 2000, 2000pro, XP, XP Pro or Vista  You Must have Window Media Player 9 or 10 or 11 Internet Explorer 6.0 or Higher   DSL, Fiber,  ISDN, or a Cable modem with a steady down stream of 141kbps .  (if using a firewall you must disable the firewall and all POP-UP Blockers) ( if you are on a DSL or cable network of multiple computers and you are hooked up with multiple computers online, This interrupts the Bandwidth and you will have viewing problems. Also if your computer has windows media 9 and you also downloaded and installed all the codecs.)

Please follow the instructions and check list below:

  1. Make sure your port settings are 5000-7001.. by going to Tools, then Options, then Network (on media player) select Use ports and set them to 5000-7001 then Click OK..
  2. Then Go back to Tools, Options, Then click the tab  Player, Select only Download Codecs automatically, and click  Allow Backup of DRM licenses,
  3. Go back to tools, Options, Performance and make sure you click on  Detect selection Speed is recommended , And Use Default buffering.
  4.  Video Acceleration FULL., Select apply,
  5. Go to Tools, Options and File types make sure all is selected then select apply then OK.
  6.  Also when viewing check your down stream by looking at the bottom left hand side of your windows media player. For DSL or cable you should see 141kbps or higher
  7. For 56k you should see 44kbps or higher for best results.

NOTE: If you are using a pop-up Stopper/ or Blocker (Please disable during viewing)

Streaming Instructions

 

1. Make sure you have amplified speakers connected to your computer or use head phones in the head phone jack located on your sound card.

2. To adjust sound volume click on the speaker Icon located at the the bottom right of your screen. Set you master volume. and set your wave volume. so you can comfortably here the Instructor.

 

Now you should be ready to view and listen to the Instructor.

 

 

Internet Streaming Check List

 

Please verify your system requirements as stated above.

 

Make sure you have Windows Media player 9 or 10  installed and as set as your default player.

 

Make sure you have Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher installed

 

If you are having problems accessing the stream. Go to http://dslreports.com/stest and do a speed  

Test. Click on “Test using our server at Linkline, Los Angeles, CA, USA”

This will check the down stream speed of your internet connection.  It should be a minimum of 160kbps to view the stream. If you are still having viewing problems do to heavy internet traffic

in your area, try clicking on the Low Band button when logging on. Then press your file to view.

 

If you are having buffering problems, Go to your Windows Media Player, Go to tools, then options, then performance, Go to network buffering. Click on the radial button for Buffer.

Type in 10-15 seconds of content. Click apply, Click ok.

Please note: We have no control over your providers; If they say you have DSL or High speed cable  make sure that it is. Check your download speed; it should be 386 kbps for true DSL. To view you only need a

minimum of 144 kbps, Steady download flow.

 

You should have a Pentium 2 900mhz processor , minimum requirements to process the stream.
